TelmisartanTelmisartan

Long-acting ARB with the longest half-life (~24 hours) of any ARB, providing superior 24-hour BP coverage. Unique partial PPAR-gamma agonist activity confers metabolic benefits beyond BP reduction.

Superior 24-hour BP coverage

PPAR-gamma partial agonism improves insulin sensitivity

Renoprotective

Non-inferior to ramipril for CV outcomes with better tolerability

How it works

Mechanism of action

Blocks angiotensin II at AT1 receptors. Additionally acts as partial PPAR-gamma agonist (via benzimidazole structure), improving insulin sensitivity and lipid metabolism.

The baseline panel.

Every Marek client receives this baseline panel before a provider review. Your provider may add additional biomarkers based on your health history, symptoms, and goals, pulling from 1,000+ available markers. See more biomarkers →
