Cannot be converted back to DHEA or downstream to androgens/estrogens due to irreversible C-7 ketone. Activates hepatic lipid-metabolizing enzymes, enhances thermogenesis, modulates cortisol production, and supports immune function via IL-2 and NK cell enhancement.
