How it works

Mechanism of action

Inhibits SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubule, the transporter responsible for ~90% of filtered glucose reabsorption. Produces glucosuria, osmotic diuresis, and caloric deficit mimicking metabolic effects of caloric restriction.

The baseline panel.

Every Marek client receives this baseline panel before a provider review. Your provider may add additional biomarkers based on your health history, symptoms, and goals, pulling from 1,000+ available markers. See more biomarkers →

Clinical evidence

The research behind Dapagliflozin.

DAPA-HF: Dapagliflozin in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction

New England Journal of Medicine (2019)

Dapagliflozin reduced worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death by 26% vs placebo in 4,744 patients, more than half of whom did not have diabetes.
