Mechanism of action
Binds the benzodiazepine site of GABA-A receptors as a partial agonist, producing mild anxiolytic and sedative effects without full benzodiazepine-like activity. Also inhibits CD38 enzyme, reducing NAD+ consumption and preserving cellular NAD+ levels.
