Alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that blunts postprandial glucose spikes. NIA ITP demonstrated 22% lifespan extension in male mice, one of the strongest longevity interventions tested.

Postprandial glucose reduction (40 to 60 mg/dL)

No weight gain; modest weight reduction

No hypoglycemia as monotherapy

How it works

Mechanism of action

Reversibly inhibits alpha-glucosidase enzymes in the small intestinal brush border, delaying carbohydrate digestion and absorption, attenuating postprandial glucose and insulin excursions.

The baseline panel.

Every Marek client receives this baseline panel before a provider review. Your provider may add additional biomarkers based on your health history, symptoms, and goals, pulling from 1,000+ available markers. See more biomarkers →
