- Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from Ohio State University
Dr. Campbell's interest in functional medicine began after enduring career ending injuries while playing college football and years of refractory irritable bowel syndrome. Another significant push away from the conventional medical system occurred during the pandemic where the vast majority of critically ill patients were those with underlying metabolic conditions that could have been corrected long before they wound up in the intensive care unit. Since 2021 Dr. Campbell has been working with telemedicine using functional/integrative approaches to help patients optimize their health. Currently Dr. Campbell holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He also works extensively with cardiopulmonary exercise testing and ways of improving aerobic capacity. In addition, he has certifications from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), Seeds Scientific and Performance Research (SSRP), and the Academy of Preventive and Innovative Medicine (WorldLink).
