Diagnostic Blood Test:

Oxidized Low-density Lipoprotein (OxLDL)

The apoB subunit on LDL cholesterol is prone to oxidation in the presence of excessive free radicals. The oxidized LDL is far more atherogenic than non-oxidized LDL. High levels of OxLDL are highly associated with cardiovascular disease.

Note: Fasting is recommended for 12 hours prior to blood draw.
