Diagnostic Blood Test:

Cancer Antigen 125 (CA 125)

Most ovarian cancer cells make a protein called cancer antigen 125 (CA 125). Elevated levels of CA 125 serve as a marker for ovarian cancer as well as tumors of the uterus, breast, pancreas, colon, or lung. Non-cancerous health problems such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, or pelvic inflammatory disease can also cause CA 125 levels to rise.
